Our esteemed client in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Controller to join their team and drive operational excellence across our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of performance monitoring, cost management, data analytics, and inventory optimization. You will play a key role in supporting strategic goals, enhancing supply chain performance, and optimizing regional inventory across logistics and warehousing operations. Your expertise will ensure cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Monitoring:
    • Establish and track KPIs related to on-time delivery, order accuracy, storage utilization, and transportation costs.
    • Generate detailed reports and actionable insights for management to drive informed decision-making.
  • Cost Efficiency:
    • Analyze warehousing, logistics, transportation, and inventory-related costs to identify trends and savings opportunities.
    • Develop and execute strategies to optimize costs across warehousing, transportation, labor, and inventory.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Leverage data analytics and predictive modeling to guide decision-making in warehousing and logistics.
    • Ensure that data-driven strategies are aligned with the company’s broader goals and operational needs.
  • Inventory Optimization by Region:
    • Develop tailored inventory strategies to balance cost efficiency with service levels across different regions.
    • Manage inventory placement and storage to minimize stockouts and excess stock, ensuring regional demands are met efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
    • Utilize lean methodologies, automation, and best practices to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Financial Systems Enhancement:
    • Play a pivotal role in the implementation or upgrade of financial systems to enhance central finance operations and reporting.
  • Collaboration & Business Partnering:
    • Act as a key business partner to the SVP of Supply Chain and other management members, ensuring alignment of financial strategies with operational goals.
    • Foster strong communication and collaboration across finance, operations, and supply chain teams to meet business objectives.
  • Local Operations Knowledge:
    • Regularly visit plants and operational sites to deepen understanding of local operations and financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain controlling, logistics, or warehousing, with a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in cost analysis, performance monitoring, and regional inventory optimization to balance demand and cost.
  • Expertise in data analytics, with advanced knowledge of tools such as Power BI for reporting and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement through lean methodologies, automation, and best practices in warehousing and logistics.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across teams and align efforts with business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to communicate complex financial results clearly and concisely.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret financial results and guide the company toward achieving its targets.
  • Highly adaptable and able to navigate a dynamic business environment with changing demands and priorities.
